ChinaTravelNews, Mark Guo – ChinaTravelNews has learned that Triploc (“最会游”), an outbound-focused tour service App, has closed its Pre-A round in March this year and raised RMB 27 million from Spring Airlines, Feima Fund and Qingcong Capital.
The funds will be invested in expanding the company’s headcount, recruiting senior executives with extensive e-commerce experience and extending its local services.
Founded in 2015, the social-network-based travel app enrolls local tour guides from global destinations and let them provide personalized ground service to travelers based on their own knowledge, specialties and resources.
The company’s founder Rui Zhang said that in order to underscore the social nature of its service, the locals are not positioned as tour guides per se. Mr. Zhang told ChinaTravelNews that Triploc will not be involved in the domestic travel market before it has established a strong foothold in the outbound sector.
Its services currently covers more than 60 cities in 18 countries worldwide, with Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan the key destinations.
The company is extending its services to include investment, property purchase, medical care and retailing based on its resources and travelers’ demand.
