China Southern Airlines became the first Chinese carrier to top the 100 million passenger mark in a single year having carried 100.76 million passengers in 2014 a year-on-year increase of 9.8 % in passenger volume.
The carrier finished the year with the safe landing of flight CZ3582 in Guangzhou Baiyun Airport at 22:58 December 31, making a total of 13.5 million accumulated hours of incident-free flight operations through 247 consecutive months.
China Southern Airlines operates 2,000 flights daily to 190 destinations in more than 40 countries and regions. In 2014, it added new international routes including Guangzhou-New York, Guangzhou-Changsha-Frankfurt, Guangzhou-Wuhan-Moscow and Guangzhou-Wuhan-San Francisco as well as optimized and increased flights from Guangzhou to South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.(Translation by David)
