The company is projected to serve more than 3 million users by year-end.

Visio Trip, an AI-driven travel startup co-founded by former Fliggy president Shaohua Li, announced the completion of its Series A funding round, securing more than RMB 100 million (around USD 14 million).

Founded in November 2021, Visio Trip was established by a team including former Alibaba VP and Fliggy president Shaohua Li. In its early stages,  the company raised over RMB 100 million in an angel round from notable venture capital firms such as Gaorong VC and K2VC.

Dedicated to building an “AI-driven next-generation travel platform,” Visio Trip launched VtripGPT, China’s first large language model for the travel sector, in May 2023.

By March 2024, VtripGPT became the first model in the travel industry to receive regulatory approval from the Cyberspace Administration of China and other authorities.

Shaohua Li, co-founder and CEO of Visio Trip, said: “The completion of Series A funding is a significant milestone for Visio Trip. We will accelerate VtripGPT’s comprehensive development and ramp up its large-scale market application in key travel scenarios and top-tier destinations."

Currently, AI-native travel products based on VtripGPT and the end-to-end smart destination operation system are deployed in over ten regions, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Sichuan, and Yunnan.

Visio Trip provides Gen Z consumers with a full-spectrum, personalized travel experience for various destinations. By year-end, the company expects to have served over 3 million users, with more than 500,000 in Hong Kong and Sichuan alone.
