Showboom Technology, founded in April 2017, is a blockchain- and AI-powered travel platform offering physical mobile phones with WiFi access to mid- to high-end outbound travelers. The company has launched its travel phones and a mini-program.
In March, Showboom Technology joined Microsoft Accelerator Beijing Cohort 11 and Baidu AI Accelerator Cohort 2. The company has currently introduced 6,000 travel phones offline and has achieved a daily usage rate of 50%.
The company cuts into the “blockchain + travel” sector with WiFi-enabled phones, which were released on August 31 and come with multiple travel-related applications. Going forward, it aspires to join hands with a number of merchants to make the phone a marketing channel that allows business operators to feed tourists local features and discount coupons through APPs.
Its mini-program, Showboom+, a selected community featuring blockchain-centric trips, is the other product. Apart from basic services, it picks front-line travel service suppliers that operate quality self-operated routes, and has them provide themed must-go tours for those traveling with friends and families.
