Beijing-based Hi Guides (HuangBaoChe in Chinese), a driver and guide service provider for Chinese travelers in overseas destinations, announced on January 19 that the company has received RMB 210 million in its series B+ round funding.
The round had Matrix Partners China and GF Xinde Investment as leader investors and was also participated by the company’s A-round investor SSC Fund.
Hi Guides was founded in December 2014 as a global platform for booking Chinese-speaking tour guides and drivers overseas.
The company states on its website that it has a crew of nearly 100,000 Chinese-speaking drivers and tour guides in more than 1,500 cities in 60 countries.
Hi Guides said that as of the end of December 2016, the company has served a total of 1.5 million outbound tourists.
The company announced in September 2015 that it had raised RMB 48 million in its A round funding, supported by SSC Fund, Gobi Partners, GSUM and ZuoYu Capital. The company received RMB 120 million in its series B round led by Founder H Fund in August 2016.
