Capital Helicopter, an HNA subsidiary listed on the New Third Board, announced that it has raised RMB 3.2 billion, said to be the largest sum raised in a private placement on the board so far this year.
HNA Group, with 12 subsidiaries listed on the New Third Board, is one of the largest money-spinners on the board.
As of December 15, 2016, National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ)’s data show that 2,406 listed companies have issued 22.167 billion shares and raised RMB 105.295 billion on the New Third Board.
Seven of the HNA-affiliated companies on the New Third Board have raised RMB 12.55 billion so far this year, accounting for nearly 12% of the total fund raised on the board in 2016.
As of December 22, the New Third Board has listed 10,080 companies, of which more than 2,400 listed companies have issued shares to raise capital.
Data from financial information provider Wind show that 186 listed companies have raised over 100 million yuan through increased issuance of shares, as of December 19.
Other than the HNA Group, major public companies such as Alibaba, Tencent and Fosun International also control many of these New Third Board listed companies. (Translated by Jerry)
