Ctrip’s Global Shopping Member Service Center was launched at the headquarters of Laox in Shinjuku, Tokyo on September 20. Ting ting Zhang, Senior Vice President of Ctrip, said the increasing number of travelers to Japan will continue to fuel the shopping boom in the country.

Xiang Gao, CEO of Global Shooping program, pointed out that shopping is gaining widespread attention and presents great market potential due to travelers' growing interest in Japan and their rising consumption power. He said that Ctrip has always focused on providing products that cover every aspect of tourism including catering, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping and entertainment. Global Shopping, which was specially designed for the shopping sector, was launched in 2014 and has grown rapidly since. The program has cooperated with over 1,500 merchants in more than 30 countries and regions to date.
Laox will work with Ctrip to enhance traveler’s travel and shopping experience, by sending their luggage directly to their hotels, airports or homes, offering them shopping and travel suggestions at Laox Shinjuku and a place to take a rest at Laox and get more information about Japan.
